Our Montessori “Children’s House” located in Chantilly, Virginia, cherishes each child for his or her uniqueness and provides personalized, loving care that extends to encourage the child’s capacity to learn and grow. In our prepared classrooms, we accept children ages three months to six years. We are pleased to offer a year-round Montessori program, bringing excitement and quality to your child’s education. East Gate Montessori School offers primary, toddler, and infant classrooms.
East Gate Montessori School’s approach to education develops the potential of young children through a carefully prepared environment, specially trained teachers, and the use of Maria Montessori’s didactic materials.
A typical day in a montessori classroom involves practical life, sensorial activities, language arts, mathematics, music and art appreciation, and social studies/geography activities.
The Infant Program is for children 3 months to 15 months. The young toddler program is for children 15 months to 3 years. The Primary classrooms are designed for children three through six years of age.
My daughter is about to turn 2 and we have tried 3 different daycare/nanny’s (disasters) before we found East Gate….and I can finally say we have found peace of mind! She loves it! The owner and staff are wonderful. Every morning when I drop her off I feel like I am leaving her with family. Our daughter is thriving and we couldn’t be more pleased. Thank you EGMS!
Fabulous. Love this school but my children love it more. I can’t say enough about the instructors, staff, new building, activities, etc. The level of structure that is gently balanced with enough room for the children to learn and make their own decisions is perfect. A
Our son has been at EGMS for one year now and loves school! He especially enjoys the weekly music class and daily montessori activities. He has many friends and is always happy when we drop him off.
As a parent of a 4.5 year kid that is attending this school since August 2014, I want to rate the school at the highest level possible for the reasons below:
1. Preparing students for what’s ahead i.e. Elementary education. Students that graduated from this school will be ahead in their elementary schools because they have been taught and well prepared.
2. Clean, bright and safe facility
3. Fully loaded with Montessori activities that keeps students well occupied entire day
4. Excellent and healthy lunch menu.
